National Highways: Azure Cloud Foundation for National Infrastructure

National Highways needed to build a new greenfield Azure environment to support internal and Citrix-based applications for a critical infrastructure project. The environment had to be secure, scalable, repeatable, and easy to govern.

To deliver a secure, scalable, and governance-compliant Azure environment to support the Lower Thames Crossing’s digital infrastructure needs.

Accelix led the design and build of a hub-and-spoke Azure architecture using Terraform, Bicep, and PowerShell, delivering scalable infrastructure aligned with best practices. Secure network configurations enabled Citrix workloads and VM provisioning. Azure DevOps Boards and YAML pipelines were implemented alongside strict change management governance. Features such as Private Endpoints, Service Endpoints, and Azure Firewall ensured a hardened security posture. Internal training was conducted to empower National Highways staff with operational knowledge.
